Semi-settled…August 4, 2016
After 55 weeks of living the life of full-time travelers, we have found a place to park part-time. Settling in Swansboro, a quaint little town near the beaches in North Carolina took a great deal of thought and let’s face it … sweat! Swansboro has the small town feel that Leesburg, VA did for me when I was growing up. Dexter is thrilled with his back yard and Adam and I love living near the water. We do love traveling and will continue to spend time on the road, but it is nice to have a spot to park too.

Mr. Potato Head created by Hasbro, a Rhode Island based company. Rhode Island held a Mr. Potato Head Campaign.
“Mr. Potato Head™ was selected by tourism officials to be “spokespud” for its Rhode Island – The Birthplace of Fun!” promotion due to his status as the internationally beloved icon of fun.As 47 giant, six-foot tall Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head™ statues – each uniquely designed by a Rhode Island artist – “sprouted up” across Rhode Island’s scenic landscape, a national advertising campaign encouraged travelers to come to Rhode Island on a “spud search” and “planted the seed” that RI is the ideal location for fun-filled family vacations.” Twenty-four of those statues still remain today.
